Our Story
Temple of Kinship was born out of our friendship, and the lived experience of navigating Alyssa’s Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) diagnosis. We dreamed of bringing together the elements that had felt the most supportive to us to create what we weren’t finding in the world: a free-to-attend retreat for MBC thrivers and their best friends.
Our Animating Principles
We provide free-to-attend retreats designed for MBC Thrivers and their chosen friends, with supplies, tools, practices, and space to:
-

Strengthen your supportive relationships through focused conversation, community activities, and shared quality time
-

Deepen respect for your own ever-changing body, through mindful somatic practices, awareness exercises, joyful movement, good food, and fresh air
-

Practice relationship with your creative force and spirit through writing, artmaking, and other playful consciousness-expanding activities
-

Feel held by the natural world, through forest bathing, mindfulness walks, and presence in a beautiful, wild setting
