Free-to-attend retreats designed for people navigating Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer + one chosen friend.

Research shows that our capacity to thrive increases when we are supported by enduring, supportive relationships.

In other words—we heal in community.

Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) is considered incurable, and “survivorship” programs often leave MBC thrivers feeling left out. Of the offerings that exist, none prioritize the platonic relationships that provide critical support to this population. Temple of Kinship has stepped into that gap.

Our goal is to support social bonds that offer healing, specifically, friendship. The free-to-attend retreats supply tools, practices, and space for participants to strengthen and sustain supportive healing relationships, build community, and tend to kinship with their bodies, spirit, and nature.

Temple of Kinship Retreats

Retreats are powerful because they create a third space beyond everyday life and clinical care—a “pause” where people navigating MBC can step out of survival mode and into reflection, connection, and rest. Participants are invited to tend to what’s present beneath the surface and be seen without pressure to perform or explain—creating space for listening, insight, laughter, and belonging.

We Thrive Together

Temple of Kinship is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2024 by two friends—one with the lived experience of MBC, and the other riding close alongside during her life-altering diagnosis. Supported by a community of caring donors, we are working to offer tools and quality-of-life-changing experiences beyond the bounds of traditional healthcare.
